Is Poker Luck Real or What?
poker is an interesting game. On its surface it appears to be either based solely on numbers or solely on luck. In fact many people have a belief in one side or the other so strongly they will make decisions in a poker game based off of a belief in either the numbers or in luck. Where there is scientific evidence to support those who rely on the numbers. What about those who play poker and rely on luck? Is there some kind of cosmic force behind every hand of poker? Could it be, that despite those who state otherwise, there is some strange poker god at work who with a whimsical wave of her magical wand both makes and breaks a poker game?
Whatever the truth, there is something to be said for luck. After all, how else do you explain those times when beyond all certain scientific fact a gambler pulls out a royal flush? Or when there is no way someone could best the four kings in your hand they find a way to do it? Luck does seem to exist, and some days it is with you and other days it is not. However before you go pitching that hand, take a moment to consider the last time you felt lucky. Are you about due again?
