Getting out of a Hairy Situation

When attempting to choose the right product for hair removal, many women and men will find a myriad of products and services available to them. These range from the mild to the downright painful and come in every flavor in between. Shaving is the first and most common hair removal service in existence and is effective and relatively inexpensive. On the downside, shaving with a razor is extremely temporary and can often lead to acne breakouts and razor burn. Shaving is still the most common form of hair removal in the United States, but is quickly becoming eclipsed by new technology and methods that have less irritation and more permanence.
Waxing is also a method similar to shaving, but tends to last longer. Many women and men report that waxed hair comes back finer, but an individual has to wait until the hair is at least a quarter of an inch long before attempting to wax again. Waxing is also more expensive than shaving, and can also be relatively painful. Both methods can lead to ingrown hairs, but this is the price we pay for smooth, sexy, skin.
Laser hair removal may also be a method to consider. Positive aspects of laser hair removal include a near permanence among some individuals and even a more uniform skin tone. On the down side, it can be quite expensive and the results may vary from person to person. Finding the right options for the consumer comes down to understanding cost, time, and sometimes your individual threshold for pain.
